WoodMart Review 2026: Is This $69 WooCommerce Theme Worth It?

The official WoodMart site by XTemos, October 2026.
Our verdict: WoodMart is one of the best WooCommerce themes you can buy in 2026 if you want a store that looks finished on day one. For a one-time $69, it bundles store features most themes leave to paid plugins: AJAX filters, variation swatches, wishlist, compare, quick view, a mega menu, bundles, dynamic discounts, back-in-stock alerts and abandoned cart recovery. It suits small and mid-size shops, freelancers and agencies who build stores on Elementor, Gutenberg or WPBakery. Skip it if you build with Bricks or Divi, your host cannot run PHP 8.3, or you want a light theme you can swap out later without rebuilding.
One honest note up front: this review is not based on an install. WoodMart is a paid theme sold only on ThemeForest, and we did not buy it. Everything below comes from XTemos’s own site, documentation and changelog, and the public live demos, all checked in October 2026.

What Is WoodMart?
WoodMart is a WooCommerce theme made by XTemos Studio, which has built WordPress themes since 2015. Its public changelog starts in 2017 and lists 167 versions since then.
Unlike multipurpose themes such as BeTheme, WoodMart is built around online stores first. It can run a blog or a service site, but its real job is WooCommerce. XTemos calls it the best-selling WooCommerce theme on ThemeForest and says it powers more than 120,000 stores. ThemeForest blocks automated browsers, so we could not check those numbers; treat them as the vendor’s figures.
If you are still deciding between WooCommerce and a hosted store builder, read our Shopify vs WordPress comparison first. WoodMart only makes sense once you have chosen WooCommerce.
Prebuilt Websites: How Many Demos?

The WoodMart prebuilt websites library, showing 100 of 100 demos, October 2026.
XTemos markets “100+ prebuilt websites”. On October 4, 2026, the library listed exactly 100, while a badge on the live demo site said 104. The counts by category were:
| Category | Demos |
|---|---|
| Electronics and tech | 21 |
| Home and furniture | 21 |
| Fashion and accessories | 20 |
| Services and business | 20 |
| Mega stores and marketplaces | 15 |
| Hobbies and gifts | 14 |
| Layout variations | 11 |
| Food and drinks | 10 |
| Health and beauty | 8 |
| Landing pages | 6 |
| Sports and outdoor | 5 |
Some demos sit in more than one category, so the numbers add up to more than 100.
A few things to know before you pick one:
- Each demo imports as a full store, with pages, layouts, headers, menus, sample products and theme settings.
- Demos are built per page builder. You choose Elementor, Gutenberg or WPBakery first. The docs warn that content is not converted if you switch builders later.
- Partial import is new. Version 8.6.0 (September 14, 2026) lets you import just part of a demo.
- Import into a fresh site. The docs recommend a clean install, or a full backup first. Our WordPress backup plugin guide covers good free options.
You can browse every demo live before you buy, and that is the best way to judge WoodMart. Here is the Megamarket demo, one of the large department-store designs:

WooCommerce Features
This is where WoodMart earns its price. XTemos lists 12 built-in features on its homepage and says they would cost $813 a year as separate plugins. That is the vendor’s own math, but the features themselves are all in the docs.
Finding products: search and filters

The shop page of the default WoodMart demo, with price and color filters, October 2026.
On the default demo’s shop page, the sidebar filters by price (a slider from $0 to $8,200) and by color, with a product count next to each color. Above the grid you can switch between list view and grids of different column counts, and pick 9, 12, 18 or 24 products per page. XTemos says the filters can also work by size, brand, stock status or any product attribute, update the grid without a page reload, and move into a slide-out panel on mobile.
The live search works as you type. Typing “chair” into the demo’s search box opened a dropdown with 10 matching products, each with a thumbnail and price, before we pressed Enter.

Product pages

A product page on the default WoodMart demo, October 2026.
The demo product page shows color swatches instead of a dropdown, sale and “Hot” labels, a 360-degree view button, fullscreen zoom, Compare, Add to wishlist and Size guide links, and tabs for description, extra information, reviews and shipping.
The feature pages and docs also list multiple and shareable wishlists (guest wishlists sync when the shopper logs in), compare tables, quick view and quick shop from the grid, product video in the gallery, and reviews with photos, ratings by attribute and a questions and answers section.
Selling more per order
- Frequently bought together bundles, with an optional bundle discount.
- Dynamic discounts with bulk, buy-one-get-one and tiered rules, applied without a coupon code.
- Free gifts added to the cart when it reaches a value you set.
- Free shipping progress bar (“spend $X more”) in the cart, mini cart and product page.
- Estimated delivery dates based on your shipping rules.
- Countdown timers, stock bars and a sold counter, which XTemos says read real stock, real orders and your sale dates.
- Buy now buttons that skip the cart.
Bringing customers back
- Abandoned cart recovery for logged-in and guest shoppers, with a timeout you set.
- Back-in-stock alerts and a price tracker, where shoppers ask to be told when a price drops.
- Review reminders sent after an order.
- Email marketing consent at registration and checkout.
Store builders and marketplaces
The Layout Builder lets you design the shop archive, single product, cart, checkout, My Account and thank-you pages in your chosen builder. Version 8.6.0 added support for WooCommerce’s newer Cart and Checkout blocks, including the free shipping bar, free gifts and estimated delivery.
For marketplaces, XTemos lists built-in support for Dokan, MultiVendorX, WCFM, WC Vendors and the YITH multi-vendor plugin.
Builders and Bundled Plugins

The top of the WoodMart changelog, with version 8.6.2, October 2026.
WoodMart works with three editors:
- Elementor, with WoodMart’s own widgets.
- Gutenberg, the WordPress block editor. WoodMart added its own blocks and Gutenberg versions of its demos in version 8.0 (November 2024).
- WPBakery Page Builder, the classic builder with backend and frontend editing.
XTemos says other builders are not supported. Its compatibility policy names page builders “not based on Gutenberg, Elementor or WPBakery” as a source of conflicts, which rules out Bricks, Divi and Beaver Builder. If you already work in one of those, see our page builder comparison and pick a theme that fits it.
The setup wizard installs these plugins:
| Plugin | Status in the wizard | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| WoodMart Core | Required | Holds most of the theme’s features |
| Elementor or WPBakery | Required if you chose that builder | WPBakery comes bundled; the docs do not list Elementor Pro as required |
| WooCommerce | Optional | Needed for a store |
| Contact Form 7 | Optional | For contact forms |
| MailChimp for WordPress | Optional | For newsletter signups |
| Safe SVG | Optional | For uploading SVG logos and icons |
On the bundled WPBakery, an XTemos support reply from February 2025 says the bundled copy does not need a separate license for updates when used with the theme. Slider Revolution used to be bundled too, but XTemos removed it from the theme’s plugin page in version 8.4.1 (February 28, 2026). WoodMart has its own built-in slider for hero banners, so most new stores will not miss it.
Version 8.6.0 also added a WoodMart MCP page, which lets AI agents connect to the site through the Model Context Protocol (a standard way for AI tools to talk to software). XTemos also says the theme has built-in image compression and WebP support; our image optimizer plugin guide covers dedicated options if you need more.
Setup and Ease of Use
Installing WoodMart works like any premium theme: you upload the woodmart.zip file from Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme. Note that the full ThemeForest download is a larger package with woodmart.zip inside it. Uploading the whole package instead is a common cause of the “stylesheet is missing” error. Our guide on how to install a WordPress theme walks through upload problems.
After activation, a six-step wizard runs:
- License activation (you can skip it and do it later).
- Child theme, created with one click.
- Page builder choice.
- Plugin installation.
- Prebuilt website import.
- Finish and start customizing.
After that you work in Theme Settings (global styles, fonts and shop options), the Header Builder (a three-row drag-and-drop editor with separate mobile headers) and the Layout Builder. XTemos says WoodMart is translated into 37 languages, supports right-to-left languages, and works with WPML and Polylang.
Is it beginner-friendly? Mostly. The wizard and demo import get you to a working store quickly. The sheer number of options is the hard part, and beginners will lean on the docs and video tutorials.
Requirements: Check PHP 8.3 First
WoodMart’s requirements are stricter than many themes. As of October 2026, the docs ask for:
- The latest stable WordPress version.
- PHP 8.3 or later.
- MySQL 8.0 or later, or MariaDB 10.11 or later.
- HTTPS.
XTemos also recommends PHP limits of 256M memory, 64M upload and post size, 180 seconds execution time and 10,000 input variables. The WoodMart > Status page highlights values below those numbers.
Some hosts still run older sites on PHP 8.1 or 8.2, so check the PHP version in your control panel before you buy. If your host cannot meet these numbers, our managed WordPress hosting picks are a good place to find one that can.
Performance
XTemos says WoodMart loads only the CSS and JavaScript each page needs, and that it is built to pass Google’s Core Web Vitals. The WoodMart homepage shows a PageSpeed report for a demo store with a performance score of 100.
We did not install WoodMart, so we have no speed measurements of our own. A demo runs on tuned hosting with sample data; a real store with many plugins and a big catalog will score lower. Expect it to be heavier than the lean themes in our fastest WordPress theme test, and plan on caching and a good host.
Pricing and License Terms
WoodMart has one price: $69 for a Regular License on ThemeForest, as of October 2026. XTemos does not sell it directly; the “Purchase” link on xtemos.com sends you to Envato’s checkout. When we checked, that checkout showed $69 plus a $3 Envato handling fee, before tax.
What the license includes, according to XTemos’s license FAQ and docs:
- One website project. A purchase code can be active on one live domain and one staging or development domain for the same site. Each extra client site or store needs its own license.
- Lifetime updates. The license does not expire. After the support period ends, you can keep using the theme and downloading updates.
- 6 months of support. An XTemos support reply says support “comes included with your theme purchase for 6 months.” You can extend or renew it from your ThemeForest Downloads page. We could not check the renewal price because ThemeForest blocks automated browsers.
- Activation sends data to XTemos. Activating the license sends your purchase code, domain and (if you give it) email address to XTemos for license checks and updates.
- Refunds follow Envato’s rules. XTemos’s refund page says it follows ThemeForest’s refund policy.
Moving a site? Deactivate the license on the old domain first (under WoodMart > Theme License) or remove the old domain from your XTemos account. The update docs say a stale activation after a move causes a “BAD_FORMAT” error. Our guide to moving WordPress to a new host covers the rest of the move. And if you test changes on a copy first with one of the WordPress staging plugins we reviewed, mark that copy as a development domain so it does not use up your live activation.
A word on “free WoodMart” downloads: XTemos says copies from GPL clubs, file-sharing sites or pre-activated builds cannot receive updates or support and may have modified files. For a theme that runs your checkout, that is not a risk worth $69.
Support and Documentation
Support runs through the WoodMart forum on xtemos.com, which had more than 34,000 topics in September 2026. You can share login details in a private field only moderators see. XTemos’s terms say support covers setup, configuration advice and troubleshooting, not custom work or third-party conflicts.
The documentation is large and current: most pages we read were updated in August or September 2026, and there are video tutorials for setup, updates and the builders.
WoodMart Pros and Cons
Pros
- Very complete WooCommerce feature set for $69, with no yearly fee.
- 100 store demos across most product niches, viewable live before you buy.
- Works with Elementor, Gutenberg or WPBakery, including WooCommerce template building.
- Frequent updates: three releases in September 2026 alone.
- Lifetime updates even after support ends.
- Built-in marketplace support for the main multi-vendor plugins.
Cons
- Paid only, with no free version to try.
- One license per site, which adds up for agencies.
- Requires PHP 8.3 or later, which rules out some older hosting.
- No support for Bricks, Divi or Beaver Builder.
- Lots of built-in features means lock-in: switching themes later means rebuilding your store’s design and finding plugins to replace swatches, filters, wishlist and the rest.
- Support is 6 months unless you pay to renew.
WoodMart Alternatives
- Flatsome: the other big WooCommerce theme on ThemeForest. It uses its own UX Builder instead of Elementor or the block editor, so it suits people happy to learn one theme-specific tool.
- Astra: a free, light theme with a Pro add-on and WooCommerce extras. Better if you want lower lock-in and are happy to add store plugins yourself.
- Blocksy: a free theme whose paid Business tier adds a wishlist, compare and other WooCommerce extras. A good fit for block editor stores.
- Kadence: a fast free theme with a strong header builder; its paid Shop Kit adds WooCommerce product gallery and store tools.
- TheGem: a multipurpose ThemeForest theme with Elementor and WPBakery editions, 400+ demos and WooCommerce tools, if you need a store plus a lot of non-store pages.
Verdict: Is WoodMart Worth It in 2026?
Yes, for most people building a WooCommerce store on Elementor, Gutenberg or WPBakery. The $69 one-time price replaces several yearly plugin subscriptions, the demo library covers most niches, and XTemos keeps the theme current, with three releases in September 2026 alone.
Check two things first: your host must run PHP 8.3 or later, and you should be happy to stay with WoodMart for the life of the store, because its features do not travel with you. If either is a problem, a lighter theme like Astra or Blocksy plus a few WooCommerce plugins is the safer route.
FAQ
Is WoodMart free?
No. WoodMart is paid only and costs $69 on ThemeForest as of October 2026. There is no free or lite version. Copies offered free or cheaply outside ThemeForest cannot be activated for updates and may have modified files, according to XTemos.
How many websites can I use one WoodMart license on?
One website project. A purchase code can be active on one live domain and one staging or development domain for the same site. Each extra store or client site needs its own $69 license.
Do WoodMart updates stop after 6 months?
No. Only support ends after 6 months. XTemos says the license does not expire, and you can keep using the theme and downloading updates after support ends. You can renew support on ThemeForest if you need help later.
How many demos does WoodMart have?
XTemos advertises “100+ prebuilt websites”. The library listed exactly 100 when we checked in October 2026, covering fashion, electronics, furniture, food, marketplaces, services and more. Each one can be imported in one click.
Does WoodMart work with Elementor?
Yes. WoodMart supports Elementor, Gutenberg and WPBakery, and its demos and WooCommerce layout builder work with all three. WoodMart adds its own Elementor widgets, and the setup docs do not list Elementor Pro as required. WPBakery comes bundled with the theme.
Is WoodMart better than Flatsome?
It depends on how you build. WoodMart has more built-in store tools (abandoned carts, dynamic discounts, back-in-stock alerts) and works with three popular builders. Flatsome uses its own UX Builder. If you already use Elementor or the block editor, WoodMart is usually the better fit.
