Free WordPress Internal Linking and Content Audit Plugin

See how published articles connect, identify pages with no incoming content links in a sampled graph and review local link suggestions. The plugin matches destination titles in paragraph text, previews edits and inserts only the suggestions you choose. Optional Search Console CSV data adds clicks, impressions and period comparisons.

How to use internal link workbench

  1. Build a graph of up to 100 published posts and pages.
  2. Optionally paste a Search Console Pages CSV or a comparison with Previous Clicks.
  3. Review incoming counts and the destination, anchor and proposed content for each suggestion.
  4. Apply selected insertions, review the published content and rescan. Undo preserves later editor changes.

Questions and limits

Does a zero incoming count prove a page is orphaned?

No. Counts are relative to the selected graph. Navigation, widgets and posts outside the batch are excluded. The result is an orphan candidate requiring review.

Does it require an AI API or Search Console login?

No. Title matching and graph construction run in WordPress. Search Console input is an optional CSV paste. There is no paid API or OAuth connection.

What content can it edit?

It inserts links in explicit paragraph text while avoiding existing anchors, attributes, scripts and code. Complete destination titles must appear in the source. It preserves surrounding block markup. Builders with different storage need separate review.

Can it guarantee SEO improvements?

No. Suggestions need editorial judgment. Two selected suggestions affecting the same source are treated as edit conflicts; apply one and rescan before adding another.
